This would allow shooters to keep their eyes further away from the rear of the scope, making it easier to stay on target. Additionally, this would also reduce the risk of getting “scope eye” – a condition caused by the constant alignment of the eye with the rear of the scope.
Another possible improvement is the addition of an illuminated reticle. This would make it easier to see the crosshairs in low-light conditions, and could even be used to help aim in complete darkness.
