I bought this parts kit to keep my build a true Ballistic Advantage/Aero Precision rifle. I liked this kit because I did not have to pay for a gritty milspec trigger I was never going to use. I’m happy with this kit but think Aero could get a better bolt release. The finish does not match their uppers and the threaded stud could be longer making it easier to thread on the bolt… read more catch button plus having more threads to secure the button. I will eventually replace the bolt catch. Not a deal breaker. I would buy again.

M5 lower parts

The Aero Precision parts kit worked very well with my M5 lower, the M5 lower is different than other 308 lowers in that the pin and spring hole for the rear take down lever is threaded and uses a tiny screw to keep the pin and spring in place, you have to cut the spring almost in half and then I had to use the head of a small panel nail to push the spring and screw in and screw… read more it into place. Once there it’s there but a real pain, needs to be rethought by AP. I have built a lot of lowers but that is a pain. AR15DISCOUNTS has been great to work with and prices are fair with shipping very quick. I commend them for their business sense in sorry California.

Only one issue

The Parts Kit is as advertised. BUT, the one thing the was really frustrating was the rear takedown pin spring and set screw. the smallest allen wrench ever to try and get it installed. and with that spring, its set to be held in by your grip instead of set screw. there is no instructions that tell you that the sring must be cut down a bit in order for the set screw to be used.… read more the spring compresses all the way down and wont allow the set screw to be used. You must snip the spring down to use the set screw.

I ordered this Aero LPK for my .308 build, but ended up with an AR 15 LPK that had been mislabeled. 15 minutes after I sent an e-mail explaining the problem I had a tracking number for the correct LPK and apologetic e-mail about the mishap. Good prices and great customer service can't be beat. Will definitely be purchasing more items in the future.

The lower parts kit from Aero Precision is very nice. The pivot and takedown are nitrided and are smooth as butter on hot toast when installed. The detents and springs are of good quality and the the bolt catch is also great. Everything fit as it should and worked great. I have not received the kit yet but I emailed them asking for an eta on this kit and received a response almost immediately and as luck would have it, a shipment was being delivered the next day and updated the site to show in stock.
