Anderson Lower Parts Kit w/ Black Hammer & Trigger - LOWER-PARTS-KIT Review

I guess i was expecting better from Anderson. I love their lower receivers, completed three builds with them with no problems so i thought i give their lower parts kit a try. Its not terrible but there are much better kits out there. If your on a budget i'd say try it out but for a few dollars more you can get better.

Mil-spec lower kit for a competitive price.

Quality of the parts seems nice, and the package arrived in great shape. I haven't had a chance to fit this in a lower, though, but will update the review once I do.

It's an Anderson

I've used multiple Anderson lower kits and it seems to be hit or miss with the black triggers/hammers. I've had two that I could not get the pin to go through the hammer. The trigger on this kit is a little gritty but will suffice. On the plus side, I have never had a problem with the stainless triggers or hammers.

Ok for a LPK

I bought it to make a budget-friendly ar 9 build. Very basic LPK so don't expect super good quality. A bit on the oily side.

First time build.

Building the lower was easy, once I obtained a how-to instruction sheet on building a lower receiver. Also watched several videos on the process, which I would recommend to anyone building a lower. Building your own gun, is the best way to understand exactly how the gun works. I also liked the way Anderson grouped the parts in their packaging.

I really like this parts kit because it is exactly like all Anderson parts-good quality, complete, at an affordable price. All of the parts have a very nice deep black color and the trigger is pretty smooth for a regular milspec trigger.

No frills

I can't tell the difference canister to cmmg, colt, dpms. Trigger does have noire flat surface compared to Colt, but no loss in visual or function. Everything else is good to go. Once installed, it will pass as any mil spec brand.

Be careful of contents

Overall great price and pretty happy with Anderson parts but before you start with using these parts for a build, make sure all the contents are in all the packages. I have ordered a few of these from different stores, they are machine sorted and then sealed into bags and could possibly be missing parts. I have been missing detent springs and such.

Good Looking Stock

Purchased this Trinity Force Omega stock for my first build and couldn't be anymore please on how it looks and functions. There are no instructions on how to get it to slide onto the buffer tube but after assessing the stock I figured it out.

Have used two kits so far with out any problems. I have used Anderson uppers and lowers without a single problem but always used DPMS lower parts kits don�t know why after using these Anderson�s can�t tell a bit of difference.
