The .308 barrels designed by Criterion Barrels Inc. are designed to be compatible with a variety of rifle patterns such as DPMS, Remington, Bushmaster, and ADM. Not only are the hybrid profile barrels compatible with the popular receiver styles, they feature a M118 LR match grade chamber which allows the use of both 7.62×51 NATO and .308 Win. Ammunition. This AR-10 barrel is machined from 416R stainless steel with a Nitride finish inside and out. The Nitride process changes the surface properties of the bore, resulting in a hard and smooth surface with no negative side effects to accuracy. The Hybrid profile combines the accuracy benefits of a heavy barrel but tapers towards the muzzle to reduce weight.
