Very strong. Got these to try an save a stuck gas tube. Every other punch I had broke, but this one got it out after a few blows.

Makes an annoying task easy.

I'm not going to sugar coat this: I didn't expect these to be so small. Despite that, they worked great at doing what they were designed to, and I expect they'll last just about forever. If you want roll pin starters, don't hesitate.

Kind of small but worked great

I only needed to use the one for the trigger guard roll pin and it worked out slick. A fair bit better than holding the pin by hand and using the roll pin punch to start it. Glad I bought these and should prove useful down the road for maintenance and assembly.

Roll pin starter kit

They fit a little tight the first couple times i used them, so the roll pins stuck a little bit. After the work great. I would suggest a little oil for the first use and the pins should release easier

Buy these for lower assembly

A must have for AR lower assembly. Starting roll pin insertions with these is a snap. One star removed because they would be a lot better if they were longer. For example, when starting the bolt catch roll pin, the end of the punch is right up against the lower. Making the punch about 3-4 inches longer would put it past the lower, making it a lot easier to hit without worrying… read more about damaging the lower's finish.

Dirty Bird roll pin starters.

Purchased 2 sets of these one for myself and one for a fellow builder and friend.Had to have an extra set for myself so when I put one somewhere so I don't loose it and I lose it:) ( I also have a full set from Wheeler) Great little set and works very well.I like the short length it makes it a lot easier for me to hold pieces while starting the pin.Great buy I suggest purchasing… read more 2 sets for the above reason! Just what I needed

Sorry, have not used them as yet, but they are obviously a quality set of punches. I already had the finish punches but was in need of these starter punches. I could have used them prior when I was changing lower parts on one of my AR-15's.
