2 stage trigger

I recently desired to build another match service rifle, so I was in need of a 2 stage trigger and parts kit. I received my parts kit quickly. It came in a plastic zip lol bag. I assembled the parts and It was was exactly as I expected. A nice 2 stage trigger that breaks clean. Well made parts.

LPK out of specs

Terrible kit nothing was right take down pins out of spec safe selector switch out of specs it is to large to fit the lower receiver. After this I just gave up and will order a new LPK. I didn't think it was possible to screw up a lpk but they found a way.

I have this LPK installed on two lowers and couldn’t be happier. Only issue I ran into was my last kit did not come with a trigger guard as advertised. Thankfully I had a spare laying around.

Good deal on a LPK minus FCG and grip

I purchased 5 of these to finish up some lowers and was mostly please, the safety selector on two of the kits had very little finish on them and they had a reddish brown color to them like a lite rust patina. Given the price the kit is hard to beat. Its a good option if you are assembling several lowers.

OK for budget build.

This is a low cost parts kit. Everything works. The finish on the mag release and bolt release looks like they were spray painted. The finish on the safety selector was terrible, I didn't use it. I use a one that I had lying around. If money is an issue this works. If you can afford better pay for it.

the only issue i ever have with kits is the takedown pins, where the front pin is either extremely tight or too loose, this time around it was too tight, which is fine (and better than too loose), but if you want to field strip you might want to bring a small punch to push it out if you have boy fingers

Walking pins

The kit was ok, except for the pins which were too small for the holes in the receiver. They started "walking" in the Aero lower receiver when I fired the rifle the first time, causing malfunctions. I replaced the pins and no other issues.

The parts I received looked great. Unfortunately (as I saw in a few reviews) I was missing the compete bolt catch assembly. I notified AR15DISCOUNTS and a replacement was sent out the next day with a tracking number. All is good just took an extra few days to complete.

Out of spec

I didn't think it was possible to screw up a lpk but they found a way. The mag release wasn't straight so it binds when you push the button and the safety detent was too big and wouldn't even fit into the hole. Swapped with some parts from a different lpk and they worked perfectly in my aero lower. It had an extra takedown detent and spring which was nice but not when the other… read more half of the kit is useless.

Good parts kit, but not great.

All parts fit correctly except the trigger guard roll pin. The kit was installed onto a sons of liberty lower receiver. The trigger guard roll pin was too large. Had to get a different roll pin. The kit was also missing the magazine release lever. Other than that it was a good kit for the money.

The Dirty Bird Lower Parts Kit Reviewed

The pins fit my Anderson lower and the springs work too. The trigger guard lacked a front detent. Drilling and tapping the takedown pin detent holes and cutting the springs to fit makes stock changes and field stripping snap if I don't lose the hex wrench. A single sheet illustrated parts list would save a few seconds for the builder.
