About Gear Head Works Tailhook Buffer Tube - plain pistol tube 9"
This tube was made specifically to match up to the Tailhook Mod 1 pistol brace ideal diameter. The user can install the Tailhook brace anywhere along the tube as desired. The overall length is 9″ and does not include buffer, spring, castle nut or end plate. It is a tube only. It does accept standard carbine length buffer and spring. Features anti rotation slot for standard end plates. Anodized finish. Made in the USA.

This will go together with the TailHook Mod 1 perfectly. Recommend this if you plan to have a strong sturdy pistol brace setup.

The base tube is 9" long and the rearward two inches of the tube is solid aluminum. That allows you to cut it to your ideal length without compromising it's function or durability. I cut mine to about 7 1/4" ( a stock tube is 7" IIRC). At that weight because of it's reduced diameter it is a good 1 ounce lighter than a standard AR pistol tube, so it let me save about an ounce… read more from my lightweight pistol build. The tube is very well made and high quality, and looks great on my AR.
