Designed to work with your Mil-Spec carbine buffer tube, this collapsible stock has an easy to use push button release and a snug fit to the tube. Hera Arms CCS stock is a premium upgrade for your AR-15. It features a unique polymer construction and rubber butt pad; offering incredible stability and comfort in all shooting positions. The removable section of Picatinny rail also allows you to attach a monopod for stable prone shots and the multiple sling mounting points work with both hook type and flush cup equipment slings. I really like the design/feel and am docking half a star because it doesn't close flush (see pic). I didn't have too, but added some cushion on the top more for aesthetics than actual cushion.

So far I’m quite pleased with this purchase. The stock has clean lines with nothing at all to snag on. It replaced a unit that didn’t have QD mounts and it would mean adding them. This stock has them on both sides. Just like anything else new, it just takes time on the line to get used to operating it. Two things of note. The rubber but pad is four compared to the previous that… read more had five inches. Further it is at an angle. So standing the gun takes a second to make sure it won’t tip. Last seems everyones idea if FDE is different the coloration is the lightest version of FDE I’ve encountered. Obviously not important compared to operation and quality. It has a tight fit and doesn’t rattle nearly as much as the previous stock. If your looking for something different with a quality build and features that would cost a little more via another brand. This is a good pick.
