As usual with AR lowers, the rear notch for the trigger guard can be sharp. This grip takes up that space in the frame. The grip absorbs a lot of the recoil vibration when firing several rounds.
Worth more money for comfort and accuracy.

I have these on more than one gun. With and without the beaver tail. Very comfortable for shooting. It's nice to have the same solid comfort on every gun. Worth any extra money!

The grip felt so much better over the standard A2 pistol grip that came on my AR. The issue I have about it was that if my palms get a little wet, then it will have a way easier chance to slip out of my hands since it's wrapped with a rubber finish. I had a firm grip on my AR and it still spun in my hand. I live in the south and it's always hot no matter the season, so this might be an issue for me in outdoor ranges. In any other place that is not the south or really hot and muggy most of the time, this grip will be excellent. ALSO, in the video my hands were already sweaty so I had no need to wet my hands again to show you what I was talking about. The texturing was meh, but since it is made out of rubber, and my hands are dry, it felt very sturdy/grippy. I will have to put extra grip tape on it for my reasoning above. The beavertail is an excellent addition to an overall excellent grip because it covers a chunk of metal framing that was tearing up my hand every time I flipped my safety. Installation was super easy and very quick. It took me no more than 3 minutes to replace the A2 pistol grip with the Hogue (IT DOES NOT COME WITH A PISTOL GRIP SCREW!!!! Reuse the pistol grip screw that the firearm came with and you will need a 3/16 allen wrench to tighten and loosen the screw). This is my first AR-15 from Palmetto, so I'm doing a lot of changes to it including a 15" FDE Dirty Bird Handguard and a FDE Magpul CTR Stock. The optic on it is a Romeo7s if anyone was wondering (so far, so good). I will edit this review once I test this grip out at the range.

Hogue grips are by far my favorite. The finger groves provide a comfortable and sure grip. The “beaver tail” helps to keep my hand in the right spot as well.

These have the best grip and are very comfortable. SWAT team for 16 years and I put one on every weapon I can. Works very well in wet weather also. With or without gloves. You won’t regret putting this grip on. Top notch quality too.

This the only grip I will put on my ARs. you could cover it with motor oil and still be able to hold it. Perfect texture and without being hard and they fit the AR receiver perfectly. Hogue has always made good grips.

I've always loved Hogue grips and these are no exception. The over molded grip feels great in the hand. I have a S&W M&P 15 and the trigger guard is molded to the lower. I had to cut off the rubber tip that extends from the grip behind the guard. Other than that it fits perfect!

This grip is amazing! I have big hands and it fits my hands perfectly! It is non slip rubber so that is a plus for someone like me who has sweaty hands. It was very easy to install and it fit right in! Overall very pleased with the product!

I love the feel of this grip. Only way it could be any better is if it looked cool too. Oh wait it Does! Hopefully it holds up, this is my first rubbery grip and my concern it that it will get gummy/ sticky. Only time will tell.

This is a great grip. I had to trim a little to fit right with my configuration, but easy to do with x-acto blade. Kinda important screw was not included, which is a little odd. That should have been in the item title, really. Still, a five-star grip even without the screw. Just get order with your grip.
