Good stock and well made, buffer spring is garbage and is noisy as can be. For this price it’s worth buying a Giessele rifle length braided spring and no more noise. Cycles even better and no noise.

Has rotational play

So ar15 discounters are excellent to deal with and I would definitely buy from them again, however this stock has rotational play. If you hold the lower and twist the butt stock you get about an 1/8" of play. The first stock I ordered was really bad but I contacted them and they really went out of they're way to make sure I got a good one, so no blame on them. But the stock is just… read more not right. As a temporary measure I did 1 and a half wraps of gorilla tape on the buffer and took all the play out. I wouldn't recommend this stock.

Ar15a2 shoulder stock

It's Looks great and reminds me of my M16A2 I carried in the service , The plastic compartment door on the shoulder stock seems to be built decently and strong enough for real use but only time and use of it will tell on that. The fit was excellent on my lower receiver and it functions perfectly , I have zero complaints about it..

I really wanted an A1 but could only find this in stock, went with this one because it was made in the USA. The molding isn't great but it works.

Poor quality,

slot in screw not deep enough, hole in stock not formed correctly. as a result the screw did not enter the buffer tube correctly and the slot in the screw made it difficult. So the threads in the buffer tube are now stripped. I bought this because it is made in the USA.

Solid buttstuock

This is a solid stock for a gun you wouldnt have to carry around a ton. Its very firm and the buffer assembly is very nice. Its just a bit on the chunky side. But if you dont mind that its got a nice little storage compartment in the back.

One fine Butt

I tried a collapseable stock when I built my AR, but never really liked it. The buttstock kit I purchased has solved that problem for me AND, it is extremely well made, easy to install, and was very well priced. I recommend this stock without reservation.

Can't use an endplate with sling catch.No notch on stock thread. I'm not grinding tit out either for raw exposed metal or paint the grind a different color on end plate..Spend the extra if ya want the classic look like I do.Now I have a $50 paper weight.

Pros -Appropriate black color and not grey like competitors. -Buffer/tube/spring/extension all seem to be quality parts. Cons -Obviously the storage door is plastic like others but the door hinge and striker latch are ALSO plastic, other companies that produce the grey type stocks use metal for these components. -Door itself feels cheaper than mentioned grey stocks. -Stock… read more itself overhangs about 1/8" larger on bottom where it mates with the lower receiver. -Much rougher mold lines on top and bottom compared to grey stocks. -Came poorly packaged wrapped only in brown paper with buffer and spring unsecured. Overall I'm not as impressed with the stock itself as I thought I would be. All of the other components are rock solid but stock leaves some fit and finish to be desired. Will skip this kit in the future and stick with the grey ones from other manufacturers. YMMV
