There are many ways to smooth the operation of a AR-15 Carbine. One of the most cost effective and quickest upgrades available, is the installation of a KVP Heavy Tungsten Buffer. There are many added benefits once you install a KVP tungsten buffer. Benefits include: increased reliability, reduced wear and tear of critical internal parts, reduction in felt recoil, reduction in bolt bounce, as well as eliminating the annoying “rattle” of standard carbine buffers. Manufactured to meet the highest quality, KVP Heavy Tungsten Buffers are within a tolerance of +/- .005 oz, resulting in a more consistent, higher quality buffer. The buffer is extremely well machined and it smooths the action of the rifle very nicely. I paired this with a flat wire spring and it makes for a great combo.

So far so good, no more buffer rattle and the recoil is a little better also. Put it in a 10” 5.56 pistol build and seems to be better than standard mill spec.

The buffer and flat spring went into a pistol build. It is quiet and does not have that irritating AR twang. I will be buying others for future builds.
