About Kaw Valley Precision Stainless Steel Heavy Buffer - 10oz - KVP-10
Pistol caliber carbines such as 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, and 10mm are a blast to shoot but can be tough on AR-15’s internal components….Add a suppressor, and the increased back pressure can cause tremendous damage, without properly tuning your blowback system. The KVP 10 oz tungsten blowback buffer helps tame the destructive forces in suppressed and standard blowback AR15’s. Do yourself a favor and fine tune your setup for the softest shooting PCC possible! Due to tungsten weight variation, actual weight of the buffer is between 10.3 and 10.5 ounces. I built an AR-9mm and made the mistake of installing standard buffer and spring. My gunsmith friend told me that I was lucky that I didn't blow my gun up. It was hitting so hard that I really could have damaged the lower receiver. Advised me to use the 10oz. buffer and heavy spring. Damn, what a difference. Tamed that 9mm AR right down. Buffer is very well made, no machining marks or burrs that might cause drag on the spring. Fits the sprinco red/white buffer spring perfectly. I would definitely buy again. Also if you need any tech support on picking out parts be sure to ask to speak to one of their build specialists. I had a great experience with them picking out the parts to meet the needs of my build.
