About Magpul AR-15 BEV All-in-One Vice Block - MPIMAG536
The BEV Block (Barrel Extension Vise) is an all-in-one, compact vise block tool for AR-15/M4 assembly operations of barrel nuts, flash hiders, etc. Mounts securely in a vise and provides support for both billet and forged upper receivers. Engages barrel extension with solid steel lugs and full length support shank to prevent flexing. Steel hardness is optimized for durability yet won’t damage barrel extension, and Magpul Polymer is used for all other engagement surfaces to protect aluminum receiver. O-ring post uses bolt carrier for additional stability and included Pin keeps upper in proper position. The BEV can also be turned over and used as a mag well vise block to support the lower receiver during maintenance, etc. Made in U.S.A. I’ve used the Magpul Bev Block to install at least a dozen barrels and muzzle devices perfectly and without worry. Well worth the $$ and more versatile than the Geissle reaction rod. Don’t waste your $$ on the reaction rod when you can get more functionality and at 1/3 the price from the Magpul Bev Block.

Securely holds your upper via locking into your barrels locking lugs rather than applying force to the upper reciever as well as preventing it from sliding off the front like other reaction rod style devices with an hole allowing you to slide the included reciver pins into. Remember to utilize an deep throated vice however as this can sit fairly high on smaller vices.

This is a great tool,I used it to install my barrel nut and muzzle brake on my ar15.there is some flex,but not enough to worry about,by using your bolt carrier you can stiffing things up quite a bit,I put 70 ft lbs on my barrel nut with no problem.im glad I bought this tool and highly reccomend it to lnstall a barrel,or any thing else on your upper reciever

The Bev block is super convenient first all, second of all it works as advertised. Gets the job done and makes it super easy. Installing the barrel nut was a breeze with this thing! Now, I give it 4 stars because there is some play with the upper portion (not very much though) a little more play with the lower half but both are still acceptable. Haven't used yet but this thing is built way better than I thought it would be. It's mostly steel with hard polymer on the mag well part and some of the part fits into the upper. The part that locks into the barrel extension is steel and goes almost all the way to the BCG side and down throughout the Bev Block.

Like most all-in-one products, they are good at what they do but not great. There is considerable movement with the BEV, even with the bolt inserted to help secure the upper. A dedicated block is much more secure. That being said, I was able to assemble my ar15 just fine with this. I even used it to support the trigger guard ear.

Picked up a Surefire brake/comp (also from AR15Discount) and I used the bev block to keep the pressure off the upper and only on the barrel. Worked like a charm. They had the best price on both!

I bought this for working on my AR-15's. So far it has been a great tool to have. It fits nicely in the lower and releases smoothly. Haven't had any issues would buy again.

This is a very well built item. The side that the BCG slides onto is a bit tight, but manageable. I have found this very useful in several way other than gun building. Great product, great value.

Wish I would have bought this sooner. I pretty much leave this in my vise 24/7. Very easy to slide the AR onto it and begin to work on it or clean. The reverse side of the mag block sits into the locking lugs of the barrel properly holding it in place so that you can properly apply the correct amount of torque to your barrel nut.

Satisfied customer. It's not hard to use and doesn't really require any instructions. Didn't give me any nervous feelings while changing barrels and handguards. One minor irritation was the forward upper takedown pin hole didn't really want to fit the block and I didn't force the issue. A 3/16" pin works just fine to keep the BEV block in the upper in use if you think it needs it.… read more
