Note: You may need to snip 1/8″ off the detent spring to prevent excess pressure between the detent and the rear takedown pin. I started using these a few years back to avoid the spring and detent from launching when you take off the receiver plate when changing a stock. A couple receivers come with the hole pre threaded, if not it is simple to thread yourself. I cut 2 spools off of the spring and snug the screw down and I do not need to worry about it any longer. I like these SS screws because it is easier… read more to see the tiny screw against a blued receiver. I'll post two pics, one with the screw just started to show where it goes, the second showing it seated.

If you're building out an AERO M4E1 Lower, this is the first thing you should get to go along with it. It makes installation (and any subsequent tinkering) exponentially easier. Being able to use these is simply AWESOME!

Worked great in my Aero Precision lower, once I cut the detent spring down. It’s a small part and takes a .050 Allen wrench, so make sure you have a steady hand and clear work space. You do not have to have the buffer or end plate even on the lower yet to install the take down pin with this.

The stainless steel item was easier to see than the black steel. Finding an Allen Hex key small enough was the most difficult to find.
