Out of spec pins

Everything apart from the pins fit nicely on an aero m4e1 lower. Great finish as well. Both pins however have an issue with the grooves for the detints. Impossible to move without a rubber hammer to tap them in and a punch to remove them. I have a bin full of springs and detints and nothing seemed to improve it trying other parts.

I have used these parts before. I ordered more for my supply of parts. Personal use. And on the range as I said on my other review, for other shooters that dropped a spring or other part never to be seen again.

Avoid!

The rear takedown pin and safety selectors divets dont lock in. Basically the safety doesnt work and the rear takedown pin falls out. VERY DANGEROUS!!! So far 2/2 of the 5 me and a buddy got are like this. Thankfully I have milspec backups and worked like a charm. Wasted money. Don't but cheap lpk's!

Good for spare parts

It makes great spare parts or for a last minute build. The take down pins needed a little work to have the detent not stick so bad you needed a pinch to pop it out. I scrapped them but everything else was finished really nice!

Maybe I got a lemon

Part kit seemed good until I installed the magazine catch. It was incorrectly sized and would hang up on two of the three lowers ( each different brands) I tried. All the other parts seemed good but this will make me think twice about these products.

Good Kit

Everything in this kit works as well as any I have used. Bargain price. Can't go wrong with this. The quality of the parts are very good. it may not matter to everyone but a couple of my preferences we incorporated. I like the magazine release bar that has the "riveted" look and smoother operating brass detents. I go for retro builds and yjis will fit the bill once a shoot a little Norrell's MolyResin® on them.

I purchased 2 of the NBS Mil-Spec, Lower Parts Kits as Christmas gifts. After inspection I wish I had bought a few for me too! All parts come pre-bagged and lightly lubed (without Rust!) In this community, it starts the same. One new part and you want to build a whole new AR from that single part. Tricky part is you done this so many times that you don't have so many "complete" kits. More springs and pins than you can imagine because an oops kit went on sale... I needed pivot and takedown pins, safety and bolt catch for a build. Thought I had enough parts. I made… read more the mistake of ordering GunTech USA, for some reason or another they are way out of spec. This NBS kit, the pins, safety and bolt catch worked perfectly on the AAO AR9 80% lower. It was also test fitted to an Anderson lower as well, just to be sure it wasn't the AR9 lower that was messed up. Kit is good to go, if you just need Mil-Spec items to drop into your build. Also, I asked the staff for a bit of help in the dating department, they hooked me up with a new pick-up line.
