The ODIN Works 10.5″ 416R Stainless Steel ULTRAlite Barrel comes standard with a .223 Wylde chamber so .223 and 5.56 NATO ammo are both gonna run, a carbine length gas system, M4 feed ramps for reliable feeding, a Button-Rifled 1:8″ twist rate (meaning the bullet makes one full rotation every 8″ inches while inside the barrel), 1/2×28 TPI thread pattern to fit all standard AR muzzle devices, and one of the lightest cuts possible on a barrel. A tunable Gas Block allows you the capability to tune your AR for various types of shooting. Most types of steel, including normal 416SS are not designed to be used in freezing temperatures. But this steel was designed to operate in arctic temperatures, up to -40F. 416R also has greater accuracy potential than normal 416SS and 4150 steel due to its ability to take highly defined rifling and machining cuts. 416R Stainless steel has a 12-14% Chromium content. Generally any steel with 13% or better Chromium is considered “Stainless”, so 416R could be considered non-stainless depending upon batch.
