ODIN Works Complete Lower Parts Kit Review

Parts were quality made and fit very well. No rattle or undersize/oversize pins. No filing or deburring. Took me longer than most as this was my first Lower assembly and just used whatever tools I could find to install everything (i.e., the side of a pair of pliers to tap the bolt catch pin in.) Invested in some stuff since. Otherwise, it only took me about an hour and a half or… read more so and the function check went perfect. Have not had a chance to hit the range yet but, do not foresee any issues.

Most of these parts are MIM

Most of these parts appear to be MIM. You can clearly see parting lines and small holes where ejection pins for the molding process. Most of the parts in this kit work except that the bolt catch had a large radius which prevents it from holding the bolt back reliably.

Terrible Parts Kit

Mag release button was threaded slightly out of square, and the disconnector latch on the hammer looked like a mentally challenged eight year old machined it. The trigger won't reset unless I manually push the trigger forward. AR15.com offered a return/refund, but I've already installed the other pins and canabalized an old parts kit to get a working trigger and mag release. I'm… read more not going through the hassle of returning the entire kit. Waiting to hear back from Odin Works to see if I can just swap the hammer and mag release, but it's been a week and no response. SKIP THIS PARTS KIT. I'll take an in spec MIM parts kit to a milled crap parts kit any day.

Great Price but.........

Excellent price for LPK. However, the gas block came with no roll pin, the selector switch spring was the wrong diameter and so was one of the detents for one of the takedown pins. A bit frustrating but I was able to get replacements right away.

Parts were not a great fit

i struggled to make all the parts line up, much more difficult to assemble than anderson LPK for example. the pins were not a good fit and the hammer spring was very stiff, none of the parts were together in their group, all the parts were randomly assorted in loose little bags. not good packaging over all.

It’s the little stuff that counts

Over all this is a satisfactory lower parts kit. I came in a bunch of little baggies which I’m assuming probably save money in packaging and why they can sell it at the price they do. My complaint in the safety selector. It doesn’t directly point at “safe” and isn’t parallel with the deck. Fire isn’t quiet straight up and down either. Has to be a machining error.

Smooth trigger

I bought this for my first AR build. While the lower doesn’t have an upper with it yet, install was nice. The trigger is smooth and break is crisp so far. I’d compare it to my Canik stock trigger with less pre travel. Only issue which isn’t really an issue is the safety doesn’t quite line up 100% but is still functional.

Check every part

I am a first time ar builder, so maybe some of this is on me. I started my lower assembly with the help of a dvd. When I looked for the bolt stop roll pin, I picked the only roll pin in the parts that I received, thinkiing this must be the one. It wasn't and I did a bit of damage to the lugs that hold the bolt stop roll pin. I was a pin short (so far) and now I guess I will need… read more to map out every piece instead of sorting them as I needed them following the dvd.

Just a standard parts kit with a very smooth trigger

I always drop inexpensive kits like this into my builds. However, I must say that the trigger in this kit is excellent. A very smooth trigger pull that didn't feel gritty or numb. I am may need to go back to my previous builds and replace the trigger parts with Odin's. This was used in an AR9 build with mostly NBS parts and a PSA billet lower.
