Presma AR-15 Flip-Up Sight Set Review

Get what you pay for.

These sights are inexpensive and you can tell right out of the bag but non the less if you in a bind and you so cheap sights to put on your set up I believe they’ll get the job done. Front post is wobbly and finicky but seems like it’ll hold its zero. Rear sight aperture has a ton of excess molding material so be sure to clean them up. But from a afar they look ok.

Looked nice, but function not so

I bought two sets of these for me and my wife’s builds. When I went to sight them in, they would not. I adjusted both front and rear sights to their maximums both ways, as well as middle. No dice. Also, because of this, could not get them to co-witness with our red dots, which are sighted in and spot on at 100yds. Didn’t think you could screw up iron sights, but guess I was… read more wrong. 2 sets - both trash

Got an ODG and FDE set. The fde's front sight post is off center and there no way to fix it, the ODG's front sight is incredibly loose and wobbles. These are definitely not quality sights. I regret the purchase.

Can’t beat the price!

I was pleasantly surprised when I received these and felt them in my hands. They feel well-built. The price is great. The flip-up function works flawlessly. My clumsiness causes me to lose the nut when installing them on my Picatinny rail. Was able to find one at the local hardware store, but it’s silver, not black like the original. Good sights, but I have 2 issues.

Overall these sights seem to do the job well. The spring loaded mechanism works perfectly and the sight picture is decent. My problem on mine is that the rear aperture won't flip between short and long range. I have tried forcing it, but it required force that began to flex the plastic slightly. It won't budge, and I feel any harder would break it. Other customers seem to have no… read more issue so I guess I got a QC evader. Next thing is minor, but the front sight post has a tiny bit of wobble. I worry about long range accuracy with that. Despite my 2 small issues, they seem to be good overall, especially for price. A bit bulky and no true substitute for real MBUS sights, but not bad for my AR9 build.

Absolutely garbage!

If I could rate these in negative stars, I would. The slots aren't cut correctly to sit or go onto your pic rail correctly. Very cheap quality. The holes in the sights aren't even completely round, they're ovaled at best. Just from flipping them up and down a couple times the posts moved, no way they would hold up to any recoil. They don't sit level on the pic rail. It's a round… read more screw when it should be square, so it can't move in the notch. The sides don't move as you tighten/loosen them. Had to use a lot of force to get them on. Overall an extreme waste of time and money. DO NOT BUY EVER!

Awesome sights

I took a shot at these back up flip sights and man was i surprised when they got here! I normally run Magpul sights which are great sights , but I gotta say these are nicer IMHO. I like the mechanism that slides to unlock these sights...super smooth and positive lock up. The Presma AR-15 Flip-Up Sight Set - OD Green sights functioned well, but I am dissatisfied with the color tint. I realize that different brands have different shades, but this looks like FDE all together.

I didn't have super high hopes for these sights because of the price but I am primarily going to use a red dot so I gave them a chance. Once I installed them I realized that you can't flip them down while using the small aperture. Then adjusted the windage and the knob started to slip off the knurled shaft so I had to epoxy them to keep them from shifting. Save your money and get… read more a quality name brand set.

I used these sights on a pistol build to co-witness a holo-sight and they fit and worked great. I shot 200 rounds with them and they held zero. The sights so far are solid which honestly surprised me because of the cost. I am very pleased with these sights.
