While I would rather not use a pistol brace in the first place, if you have to, the SBA3 is about your best option. Works as advertised and this one came with a receiver extension tube, which is useful.

Works As Advertised

Easy to install. Composites make it lightweight. I'm 5'11 and the reach is fine for shoulder use but taller shooters might have an issue. Would definitely recommend it.

It's a great brace

I like this brace, it meets certain requirements IAW the laws for pistol lowers but it works just fine. It's still over priced. I thought it was made to be fixed in place but it is adjustable.

It’s a “brace”

I’m not a big fan of braces in general but I’m even less of a fan of paying an extra $200 for a tax stamp to have a stock. With that being said, there is no reason to buy any other brace on the market.

Great brace especially for left handed

I really like the SBA3 brace. Especially if you are left handed (or left eye dominant) its the same on both sides. A great price for a great piece of gear and the technical support here is great as well. If you ever have a question ask to be forwarded to their build specialist. Very knowledgeable and helps you get the best combination for your build.

Great Product!

This brace is great for an AR pistol build. Very minimalistic which I like. It has a spot for a quick disconnect toward the back of the brace on both size. My only suggestion is to upgrade the strap that comes on the brace to something that makes it sturdier too use. I replaced mine with a Rone industries strap and it is very nice (made in America too).

Once you go short barrel, it’s hard to go back to 16”. I’ve put these on all my stripped lowers and and pistol lowers I have. They are comfortable and work as designed.

Bought this to complete a lower to share with 11" 5.56 and .300 uppers. did due diligence to research this brace because before last year, you couldn't have a pistol buffer tube that was not purely cylindrical and had adjustable stops, per ATF...Downloaded the latest ATF ruling that clears this brace for use, even though it has adjustable stops. Great Stabilizer Brace

Great option for AR pistols. Fits a standard carbine bugger tube, and has the feel of a regular stock. Came with a buffer tube with a matter finish, but I didnt need it. Solid quality and super easy to put on and use.

The brace looks okay but there was no packaging or booklet. No way of knowing if it was used or returned and no way of knowing if the buffer tube was replaced for a cheaper alternative.

Better than the one I got from SB’s site

Sometime last year I bought a SBA3 brace from SB Tactical site. Loved it. Was already assembled, easy to install with strike industries tribus, for good. Bought another SBA3 from here and I have to say, the difference was a huge plus. No rattle whatsoever. The one I got from sb’s site has a very slight rattle to it. The one you buy here is not assembled, at least mine was not.… read more No instructions/manual. However after just looking it over few times I figured out how to install the buffer tube. I do have one minus, not sure who is to blame but in the end it made very little difference. 3/4 of the buffer tube threads were flat on one side. However the start of the threads were not effected so I was able to get a lower receiver in aligned properly and used the lower receiver to straighten out the threads. Even with that slight blemish I still rank this a 5 star brace as well as AR15discounts.com

Great alternative to an SBR

I use these for all of my pistol builds. As soon as they arrive, I rip the Velcro strap off and replace it with a Split Fix...much better! I keep a spare SBA3 with me for when I travel to places where my registered SBR is not allowed, but a “pIntolerance” is. Quick swap from stock to brace and I’m good. Brace doesn’t retract very smooth, dissatisfied with that portion of the brace. I do like the feel and fit of the brace, overall it’s ok. Not sure I would buy again however. If the extension starts to smooth out and begins to retract better I will buy again, if it doesn’t then this will be the first and last time I buy from this manufacturer.
