SB Tactical SBA3X Pistol Stabilizing Brace Review

Excessive play on buffer tube

I really like the look of the brace but I am trying to sort out what is wrong. I understand that it is advertised for a mil spec buffer tube. After installing it and noticing the excessive play that it has I measured the inside bore and it looks like it fits a commercial tube. My buffer tube measures 1.150” (mil spec) and the brace it’s harder to get a consistent inside dimensions… read more but I was getting 1.171” for the smallest inside diameter.

Great Brace - My "Go to" for all pistol builds

Great AR pistol brace. It is my "go to" for any pistol build. Adjustable and easily goes on any mil spec 6 position buffer tube. Looks great and highly functional. QD attachment on both sides (used for 2 point sling) Ordered without buffer tube (as I had that part already). I will continue to buy these for future builds.

The item is Ehhh… AR15DISCOUNTS is great people to deal with. As for the item, doesn’t fit snug for lack of better phrasing. I shop with AR15 again… but I’d pass on this if I were looking for another brace. Just lose fit with a milspec buffer set up. Hope this helps.

Fit and function were as expected of SB Tactical's product. The build that this brace goes on is still in process but it did function properly with other upper receivers I have. I bought this SBA3 in FDE only for cosmetic reasons, but it is an exact mil spec copy as the original, as one would expect to remain BATF compliant.

Great Pistol Brace

I have purchased 2 of these and they are an excellent stabilizer in all modes of operation of the AR15 in pistol configuration. Remains to be seen when/if ATF will reverse itself with the new administration, but still well worth taking the chance. Item is rigid enough but still recoil friendly with the materials used to construct it. Extremely well made, user friendly.
