The SBA4

I own a SBA3 & 4. The SBA4 to me is the most stable/ well built on the market. I have it on a 7.62x39 AR platform with a binary trigger. Having the right brace makes all the difference.

Better than getting a tax Stamp

I like the slim line look from the SBA3 however it does not give the same sturdiness and feeling of a stock than the SBA4 brace. Wise men company also makes a split fix for the SBA4 now but it’s not needed since the rubber is more stiff.

Gold standard of wrist braces

This really is the wrist brace you want if you're serious about shooting anything with less than a 16" barrel. I've switched over several ARs (7.5", 11.3", 13.7" and 14.5") to this brace. For tactical applications, this is a much more stable foundation to shoot from than the SBA3, which will easily buckle and compress in unpredictable ways during high speed movement. There are other… read more braces that will work pretty well if you are running gear with additional padding (plate carrier, etc). If you want to travel across state lines with something that has a barrel shorter than 16", this is preferable to an SBR because you won't need to do paperwork just to travel with it. Things to think about: I'd prefer if the QD mount was farther back, and the cheek rest is a bit wide, so if you prefer a thinner rest, SBA3 is narrower. YMMV.

Fits Great

I have a SBA3 and loved it so decided to get the SBA4. At first, upon arrival I was a bit hesitant dude to the “bulk ness” of it. As time went on, I grew to love it more and more. It was extremely easy to install on my existing buffer tube (although they include one) and slides perfectly. 2nd brace I purchased, same style, external threads were bad. Sent an hour using a thread file to clean them up. Also had to dissemble it to fix the telescoping adjustment as it was assembled incorrectly. The best Brace you can get!

Very stable, very rigid, adjusteable, fits a standard buffer tube, and has QD slots. Only way to have a better "brace" on a "pistol" is if the NFA were repealed and I could use a real stock. But until then this is the next best thing.

The SBA4 is excellent. Its slightly heavier than the SBA3 but also more robust. The only improvement I would make would be the addition of a more rearward sling attachment.

One hell of a pistol brace!!

I am very pleased with this brace! I installed it onto an Aero Precision M5 .308 with a 10.5” barrel! Definitely has a solid cheek weld! Great looking, highly functional - but expect a very stiff adjustment. It will take quite a while to break in (even after using cleaning solvents and lubrication). Product is exactly what I imagined it to be. Took a while to ship like almost 3 weeks but told 3 days but can’t fault the product for that. SBA4 for AR Pistol

The SBA4 brace is pretty sturdy and it has a tight fit on the included buffer tube....super tight actually and I hope it breaks in to be a little easier.. I got this for a 10.5" AR Pistol build and this brace is more like a stock when compared to the SBA3. I also like that it has QD points

Beefier Than An SBA3 and Looks Like A Stock

I wanted to try the SBA4 because I have 2 SBA3s. I like it. It’s is beefier than the SBA3 bit it still looks good. You can’t go wrong with either models. All personal preference I feel. As a side note, my brace was NOT shipped in an official MFG’s box. It was packaged with my other items loosely...and it smelled like someone wiped their butt all over it. If you are in one of the restricted states (CT) this is the way to go. The SBA3 is lighter, but this one gives more support IMO. The fit is tight, and there is no chance of the brace twisting since it is attached to a standard carbine tube. Great product and perfect addition to an “other” or pistol build.

the shipping was fast and the price was the best i could find. I used this instead of the full sba4 with pistol grip because i had already had a pistol grip adjustable stock combo that would fit my 870 but would have been illegal, so i put this in the place of the buffer tube of the other product and boom, save about 70 dollars, counting the price i paid for the other product.
