Nice stock

Picked this stock set since it is a little different of a look and a good price. Got it in and it was packaged up nice. A little trouble came in trying to get it on the tube. You have to push from the top if the stock, where there is a hole, strait down to depress the stopper for the length of pull lever.

Solid and tight fitting tollerances with minimal grievances

This kit is a decent beginner build setup. The plastic of the stock does not feel cheep or excessively light. Color is a decently deep black with a nice plastic "shine" to it. Seams are neat and the marrying of the softer rubber to the hard plastic looks solid; welds are not noticeable. Soft rubber feels good and doesn't slide off when shouldering it. As the review title says, the… read more tolerance of the stock on the buffer tube is on the tighter side which lends it to have barely noticeable wobble but does make adjusting the positions a bit tough, you will find rub on the parts of the stock that are in constant contact with the tube until it is either worked out or you do a bit of sanding on the inside of the stock with high grit paper. There were no instructions but a short internet search let me find the way to attach the stock.

Decent buffer kit, Stock feels like a toy

The buffer, tube, and spring are very sturd. Castle nut and buffer plate had no defects. Stock is pretty loose, lots of slop around the buffer tube. Pretty cool design but just doesn't fit well and feels fragile.

It seemed ok, but ended up a bigtime FAIL.

This stock kit went together OK, and functioned fine for a while. Then the buffer punched a hole in the end of the buffer tube. The only possible reason that I can see for this failure is that the tube is poor quality.

Easy Upgrade

Trinity Force Alpha Mil Spec Stock & Buffer Kit – Black I have been putting this off but if I knew it was so easy I would have done it years ago. The whole process took about 15 minutes. It comes with instructions that basically say, "If you need instructions you should have this done by someone who knows what they are doing." I watched a YouTube video to learn how to remove… read more the old fixed stock--you will need a large flat screwdriver, then to remove the tube you will need a wrench or the AR-15 Armorer’s Wrench. I bought and highly recommend the AR-15 Armorer’s Wrench and even though it is expensive for what will probably be a 1 time use tool, It made everything very easy. The combined price was still a good deal. To install the buffer tube and stock I watched a different video. I feel the AR-15 Armorer’s Wrench made this job very easy as well. You could probably use any spanner but the chances of scuffing the finish were much less when using the right tool for the job. The hardest part was actually getting the butt stock on the buffer tube since it requires a lot of finger strength to pull the pins all the way down and I have some nerve damage that made that difficult with one hand but I figured it out. I have just completed the install and haven't used it yet but everything looks great. It arrived really fast too. If you are upgrading from an old fixed stock you will be very happy with this one and you can probably do it yourself.

Not worth the money

Bought two of these for AR builds. Both of them have failed in the same manner. The spring pushes against the plastic that is overly thin and breaks through. In both cases the stocks failed to hold a locked position. With the run around you get on warranties, not even worth the hassle trying to send them back. Threw them in the trash and bought better replacements.

This stock has quickly transformed my favorite carbine into a pleasure to shoot. Looking forward to trying the Alpha 2. Tip for assembly/disassembly: insert a thick solid wire into the hole in the latch button and pull down. I used a wire coat hanger. The stock slips right on or off. Using pliers as some suggest is precarious.

Very poor product

I installed one of these kits on my 458 Socom build. A couple of days ago I took it to the range to test a new load. On the first shot, the stock collapsed and the scope hit me in the eye. Upon examination, I found that the latch on the stock had broken, and a large crack developed in the housing. When I contacted the manufacturer, I was told it would take a minimum of two months… read more to get the stock replaced. Fortunately it wasn't a high-dollar item. I would avoid this product.

This is the second Stock kit I've used. One is on a 458 socom rifle and this on a 204 Ruger. Tight fit, no wiggle and if it holds up to the 458 recoil I don't see any issues and would use it again

Best Stock for the money for AR15

This was the perfect solution to my short arms! I removed the old A2 fixed stock (Red loctite on Bushmaster screws) so the actual install was seconds compared to removing the old one. I really like the stock, it is comfortable and easy to adjust for shooting. Good Product, Great Price!!
