Fits the mag well with minimal play. The AR-15 vise block has an angled ledge that supports the lower for the entire length of the mag well. This is an improvement over other vise blocks that have a flat support ledge that only contacts the mag well at the lower edge of the mag well.

It gets the job done, so no complaints from that end. It is a bit thin though, the magazine release will not lock so the upper moves and pretty much sits loosely on the block. OK for $5.95.

This vise block gets the job done but keep in mind that it's a nine dollar block, not a ninety dollar block. It did not engage the mag catch on my gun. The overall fit is somewhat sloppy so it won't be the best for precision work but for doing basic tasks it will suffice.
For the price, an Excellent vise block/mag block.

Have seen better , but for the price it can’t be beat. Would definitely recommend the vise block for the individual that is building their rifle as a hobby. Would not recommend for a gunsmith that is in business.

Would be a lot better if the block had a little slit for the magazine release to "click" in to the lower to keep it sturdy. The lower seems to "wobble" around a lot in this vice and it is kind of difficult to get work done.

This vice block is junk! The block does not have enough thickness to engage the magazine catch on ANY AR-15 lower I own! I had to shim it to make it fit. The manufacturerer (Trinity Force) must know this, but they are selling them none the less.

Mag catch doesn't hold. Overall block is too small. Way too much play. Definitely would have been better off cutting a block of wood
