Well-designed, well-engineered

Installed the TF Captured Buffer Spring on my mid-length AR15. Fit beautifully into the carbine stock, a Magpul UBR gen2, utilizing the 3/4" spacer that came with the stock assembly. Called Clint, the Tech Engineer at TF, and he answered all the fitment questions I had. The AR now is smooth, quiet and completely devoid of the annoying "SPROING." Bravo...

Easy quick and quiet

I had no issues at all, just had to clean my buffer tub well before installing new one, No issues, most issues I see on here are self influenced, there are multiple weights /sizes (big bore) not 1 size fits all, unless same build over and over

Worst thing ever

I have ran this in 3 different guns and it never ran right. After 2 to 3 shots it wouldn't send the bolt carrier all the way forward. Just went back to a normal buffer and spring and all my guns ran fine again. Don't waste your money

Works well, quiet!

Installed fairly easily but the real winner is the function. No more springy sound when firing! Functioned flawlessly. Same function at 1/2 the price as the competition.

Not quite the thing

Item arrived in a timely manner. Price was excellent, but sadly, it is not adaptable. I needed the equivalent of a HEAVY buffer, and this was not heavy. Sturdy, solid, seemed like it would have been awesome. If I was planning to build another anytime soon, I would have just kept it. Sadly, not on my capabilities list at this time.

Good value!

It does it's job, much quieter than standard buffer springs. Only reason it's four stars is it's a PITA to remove from the tube. Between the retainer pin and the hammer, it was a struggle to remove. Easy installation though

Smooth and quiet

This design is not as robust as the JP product but at less than 1/3rd the cost I had to give it a try. The "twang" is gone! The recoil impulse on my mid-length system is softer and smoother. Much easier to keep on target. I even notice my brass falls in a tighter pile! Well worth the money, can't wait to try it in a carbine system.

Trinity force buffer spring

One of of three fits without an issue . The spring works perfectly with SBA3 kit. With the magpul buffer tube the spring seems to be slightly longer .I tried with multiple buffer tubes and same issue .

You get what you pay for

I have several of the JP captured springs, but thought I would save a few dollars by trying this on a gun I wasn't expecting to shoot as often. While I haven't had a chance to shoot with this in the gun yet, it seems to get rid of the TWANG of a standard spring. However, it is a VERY tight fit in the buffer tube. In fact, it would NOT fit in one stock I have (DoubleStar ACE Skeleton… read more Stock) and was almost too tight to fit in another stanard carbine length mil-spec tube (I don't know the manufacture. I have used this tube before and it has worked fine with the JP springs.) It was also a little tricky to get passed the trigger when feeding it into the buffer tube. I had hoped this would be a low cost alternative for the guns I don't shoot as often (I REALLY hate that TWANG of the spring). I just have to hope it functions and lasts once I start shooting the gun. I will not be buying another.

Good product

The capture buffer is well built and it is less expensive than other capture buffers I have seen. you can definitely hear the difference when charging the weapon. Where you can hear the buffer spring compressing and scratching against the buffer tube with the traditional set-up, you don't get that with this all-in-one. I have not put it through any rigorous testing but my weapon… read more cycled well and it seemed a little smoother. Time will tell how this item holds up but for now it is good.

Trinity force silent capture spring is awesome!!

I thought I would try this since it’s a 1/3 the price of the competition. For the price it’s really worth every penny and more. No more cheese grader sound from the spring rubbing on the buffer tube. Fits perfectly in the carbine buffer tube and slides right in. Tried at the range and it works as excepted with reduced noise from my pistol. Thank you trinity force.
