Excellent rear sight!
This sight is well made and finely finished. I specifically like the flush screw for clamping to the dovetail. Although the old style knob required no tools to mount, it was ugly and could snag on slings and branches and clothing. The flush screw is great!
UTG super slim fixed rear site
Third one I’ve purchased. All three are co - witnessed with individual red dot sights. If they weren’t worth it I wouldn’t mount them on my rifles.

Awesome sight and fast shipping as always love y’all
Thumbs up
Good quality, holds zero and unbeatable price. Once again ardiscounts takes names!
Solid sight!
Best rear sight I’ve had. Solid construction and slim fit on top of upper receiver - no big knob hanging off the side!
Outstanding
No need for heavy and bulky carry handle. This alternative sight is perfect for F-sight.
UTG AR-15 Super Slim Fixed Rear Sight
I like this product because you can adjust elevation and windage with the rear sight.
MT-950RS03_Inconsistent Quality Control (Taiwanesium), you may get a dud, usually not.
OK. Backstory here. Am retired aerospace tool designer & Mfg. Engr., so I know something about mixed metals and mechanical design. I really like the concept of this sight for its light weight & lack of a bulky knob, but this comes with tradeoffs. Unfortunately, I returned mine b/c the Index marks would not align, between the (6/3) ELEVATION drum-wheel & the vertical mark… read more shown here in the housing. Now, I MAY have been able to take it apart & see if I could fix it, but felt I should not really have to do anything on a new sight. It should work correctly right out of the box, cheap price or not. Some online reviewers had had this same issue, most others did not, & thought these were an excellent cheap alternative to an A2 Carry Handle sight. Mine was nice & light weight, the sight housing “channel” was steel, which is nice. The attachment screw is a Torx-head which mates w/ an aluminum Recoil Lug without a Heli-coil insert. This is a cost cutting measure. And since the Steel screw is harder than the UNKNOWN aluminum type, if overtightened it COULD strip out the threads. So go easy on that screw, DO NOT overtighten. And blue Locktite might be needed to resist coming loose from vibration. YMMV. Note too, the provided Torx key to tighten it IS CRAP; loose fitting, and if wrenched down hard, could chew up the screw head. UTG does not specify type of Al used, (ideally 6061 T6 or 7075 T6) so that did not instill confidence in its ruggedness. This sight should be switched over to their UTG-PRO series of US made parts. Then it might become better, more robustly made, maybe better QC too. And the mounting design is flawed IMO. There is only ONE (1) anchor here, a lone Recoil Lug the solo Torx screw mates with. With a mere 3/4” or so more length forward, towards the muzzle, they could have made the base a bit longer in front, to accommodate 2 recoil lugs, & made this nearly bomb proof. Two lugs, two screws, & a more solid mount. Note that the RRA (Rock River Arms) version of this truncated-A2 sight does use 2 anchor screws. But it also costs $125. UTG could easily upgrade this design per my specs for still far, far less & corner the market. The good news is it was centered over & on my all my upper receivers. But the ball-detent adjustments were mushy in spots. UTG: Close, but no cigar. Finally, I reluctantly opted for a used USGI unit & it works fine, and doubles as a boat anchor with all that extra weight. Hope this helps you all decide.
UTG Super Slim
Perfect for my mechtech. I have quite a few of these sets.
Sights on
Easy to install Reminds me of military sights
Great sight!
Im very pleased with the quality of this sight.
Great Set Of Aircraft Aluminum Sights
Bought two sets of these for a couple of AR pistol builds. Also bought the recommended matching front sights. Very sturdy contruction and great sight alignment and adjustability. Good price compared to Magpul plastic crap!
Sleek, high quality
Excellent, I was looking for a low pro version of the sights I trained with at USMC boot camp.
Utg super slim fixed ar rear sight
One of the best sights for the money. No big ugly knob sticking out of the side of it. Mounts up using a torx screw ( star shaped screw). The sight comes with a torx wrench so that makes mounting even more easy. Under the sight it has a square bar that fits in the picatinny grove and fits good and tight .....very good design. The click adjustments are possitive, auditable and precise.… read more Same with the rear sight apeture....When you fold it down it stays down and doesn't wiggle around like some of the cheaper sights do. Another plus is it doesnt weigh as much as a detachable carrying handle but still gives you the same benefits . It leaves enough room on the rail that a red dot sight could be mounted if you choose to. Buy a few of them you won't regret it. I own 4 that should tell you something.
Solid so far.
I received the sight promptly & the product appears to be of good build quality. The adjustments felt a bit stiff but some very light lubrication (clp) the dials are good to go. The sight is 6061 aluminum so I also lightly clp’s the entire sight before mounting. A dab of loctite and the sight mounts solidly. I have yet to zero sight but don’t foresee any issues so far. I will… read more definitely purchase a couple more as “longterm” back-up’s for rifles.
