Vism Pro Series Flip-Up Front And Rear Sights Features: Includes both low profile spring loaded front and rear back up sights that deploy with a push of a button. Front sight features an A2 front sight post that is fully adjustable for elevation. Front sight height is designed for handguard rails, monolithic receivers, and gas blocks that are at the SAME height as the AR receiver Picatinny rail. Front Sight Dimensions: 2.4″L X 1.1″W X 0.8″H, Weight: 2.0 oz. Rear sight features A2 dual aperture (large & small) that is fully adjustable for windage. Knurled windage knob makes adjusting the windage an easy task. Sights are very accurate and the flip-up feature works flawlessly . It’s not gritty and hard to flip like other sights .

I mounted these on a typical Aero .308 build with 16" barrel. They do not lock in the up position...each time I fired, the recoil caused at least the rear sight to dislodge from the extended position, and about half the time the aperture sight would move as well. And I was shooting regular XM-80 FMJ, so recoil was normal for a .308. While the locking feature is strong when stowing… read more them, neither the front or rear sight will lock in the up position. The design of them appears to incorporate a locking feature when extended, but it is simply inadequate...you can easily push both sights down from the up position just by pushing on the top of them with your finger.
