VLTOR A5 Standard Weight Buffer – 5.3 Oz. The VLTOR A5 buffer system is one of the most tried-and-true buffer systems available in the AR-15 world today. The A5 buffer was specifically designed at the request of the Marine Corps to bring an adjustable stock to their 20” M16 rifles. VLTOR brought them a completely new buffer system that used a rifle-length spring in an adjustable receiver extension tube. This translates to a smoother, slower bolt movement that reduces felt recoil and allows shooters to keep on target. Note: This buffer does not fit standard carbine extensions. This buffer is only compatible with rifles and pistols utilizing the VLTOR A5 Buffer System and receiver extension. Features: VLTOR patented design Body of the buffer is 7075 T6 aluminum Mil-Spec Type III clear hard coat anodized Middle A5 Buffer Weight of 5.33oz Sprinco AR-15/10 Buffer Spring GREEN Rifle Length Spring In addition to use in 5.56 Fixed Stock Rifles, the “Green Spring” is just the ticket for use in the VLTOR A-5 Stock System using their standard weight (5.2 Oz.) buffer for maximum versatility with almost any 5.56 upper barrel configuration, both with or without a “can”
